“As a treatment group home for chemically dependent adolescent males, we have youth admit to our program with nutritional deficiencies and often underweight. One of the successes of our program is the nutritional component. Our residents typically return to normal, healthier weight. They acquire healthier habits of eating 3 meals (well-balanced) each day, as well as healthy after-school snacks. This (healthy eating) is an important part of their recovery from addiction. They leave the program looking healthier than at the time of their admission.”
~ Sunrise Place (2007)
