Description
The tool kit provides materials and resources to support healthy food choices through increased access and consumption of fruits and vegetables as well as encourage daily physical activity. Students are provided hand-on opportunities to explore, taste and learn about the importance of eating fruits and vegetable. The tool kit presents a strategic opportunity to bring together the classroom, cafeteria, home and community to promote a common goal and healthier habits for students, especially those in low resource schools.

Toolkit contains 4 Key Elements:

  1. Educator Newsletter (for Educators to use w/ pre-K-12 grades)

  2. Family Newsletter (for Educators to share with parents/caregivers)

  3. Menu Slicks (for Child Nutrition Staff to use with students K-6)

  4. Press Releases (for Project Coordinators to share w/ Media Outlets).
