2008 ADA/DC of Nebraska Milk Vending Grants ($1,500)
Milk is a powerful source of calcium and other essential nutrients which make it a healthful alternative to offer to your students in your schools vending machines. By placing a milk vending machine at your school, you will allow your students to make healthier beverage choices and improve their nutrient intake at a time when the majority of youth fail to meet the recommendations of the USDA's Food Pyramid and fall short of meeting recommendations for key nutrients such as calcium.
The American Dairy Association and Dairy Council of Nebraska will award up to ten (10) $1,500 milk vending grants during the 2008 calendar year. The grants are open to any high school in the state of Nebraska.
