Calcium
Calcium is very necessary to ensure your child’s growth. You can find calcium in milk, and dark green leafy vegetables. The Linus Pauling Institute says the daily calcium requirements for children ages 1-3 is 500mg, for children ages 4-8 it’s 800mg, and children 9-13 it’s 1300mg.
Eating healthy foods is something that not all kids find easy. They usually try to leave the greens and veggies on the plate, and skip to the unhealthy foods. If your child has no problem with eating the healthy foods they require, that’s great. For those of you who have trouble with this, remember to try adding some additional supplements to ensure your kid is getting all the nutrition they need.
